ADAPTATION OF THE METHODOLOGY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF REGIONAL PROGRAMMES AS AN ELEMENT OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POLICY

The article reviews regional target programs to assess their social and economic (budgetary) efficiency. Regional targeted programs are designed to solve the most pressing social and economic problems including those of poverty. Public authorities’ assessment of social and economic (budgetary) efficiency of regional target programs is an important step in the process of making decisions about their implementation. Currently, there are many scientific studies of such assessments, however, the use of a particular methodology at the level of regional authorities is a local decision, that is, there is no unified approach. Adaptation of existing methods requires specific calculations and indicators of the importance of conducting the preliminary assessment of social and budgetary efficiency at the stage of designing the outcomes of regional targeted programs implementation.
