IMPROVEMENT OF HEALTHCARE PROVISION AS A DRIVER OF SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT IN A REGION (THROUGH THE EXAMPLE OF BELGOROD REGION)

In the article the organization of healthcare provision as a driver of social infrastructure development in a region has been investigated. Has been defined the concept of social infrastructure in a region and proposed the classification of it based on the nature of its functions in the regional economy. It has been analyzed the healthcare industry as a basic industry of social infrastructure in a region, providing one of the main human needs. The improvement of healthcare provision, particularly, the medical rehabilitation services, is in a priority for the development of social infrastructure in a region. Finally the current problems of regional organization of medical rehabilitation (through the example of Belgorod region) have been revealed. Also, it has been found out the recommendations for improving the organization of medical rehabilitation as a driver of social infrastructure development in a region.
