ASSESSMENT OF ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF THE BELGOROD REGION

Analysis of the economic potential of the Belgorod region held by its main components: natural, infrastructural, operational, administrative, social, investment. Natural and infrastructural capacities of the region determine the prerequisites for its successful development. The formation, functioning and development of the economic potential is characterized by a set of indicators, the main of which is the gross regional product (GRP). The grouping of regions of the Central Federal district in GDP relative to the average for the district was allowed to carry Belgorod region among the leaders. Successful functioning of the region due to the balanced structure of the economy. Key sectors in the economic activities of the region are manufacturing, agriculture, mining. A special place in GRP Belgorod region is industrial production. The study allows to conclude that the favorable economic and social environment in the region. And about the effective use of resources of the region and the large economic potential
