Analyses the challenges and prospects of development financing innovative activities in the national economy. Comparative analysis of Russian innovative economy with the leading economies of the world. Proceeding from foreign experience, highlighted a number of major issues of financing the innovative activities in Russia. Discusses the goals, objectives and possible ways of development of innovation sector of Russian economy at the stage of contemporary development. Explore ways of effective distribution of financial flows in the activity of enterprises, actively engaged in the development and implementation of innovations. Highlighted the role of venture funds and private capital in the formation of a modern financial support of development of innovation sector, and the need and importance of creation of the state support programmes, scientific-research and experimental-design developments in the middle and small business.
