INNOVATION RESISTANCE: FACTORS AND WAYS OF OVERCOMING

The article defines the concept of «organization’s innovation resistance». The causes of organizational conflict in the context innovative changes are considered. The paper shows the factors of innovation resistance and defines their institutional nature. The fragmentation of technological modes is considered as an exogenous factor of innovation resistance that has an impact on the inducements to innovate. The economic role of culture in the context of innovative changes is defined. The author supposes that the problem solution of overcoming innovation resistance through institutional changes. The views of researchers on the issue of institutional change are analyzed. The paper shows that the institutions determine the function of market agents’ preferences and create the preconditions for innovative change or retain the inertia of economic systems. The article reflects the conditions of institutional changes that incite innovation development.
