THE INTERACTION OF THE BANKING SECTOR OF FAR EASTERN FEDERAL DISTRICT OF RUSSIA AND THE ASIA-PASIFIC REGION

There are economic, cultural, political and trade ties between Russia and Asia-Pacific Region (APR). This causes the need for maintenance of these ties through the banking system, in particular, Far East of Russia due to its proximity to the APR. In this article are investigated the problems and trends of development of the regional partnership in banking sector. There are considered the traditional forms of partnership of the commercial banks of region. The regional banks of FEFD have the developed network of correspondent banks in some countries of APR which eventually expands. In share capital of Far Eastern banks there is certain presence of shareholders from APR, but the investment attractiveness of these banks investment attractiveness is not high enough, which constrains the integration. No one of the regional banks doesn’t has its branches or representative offices in APR. The same time at the Far East open the several subsidiary banks and with an increase in the level of economic development of the FEFD their number will increase. The local banks actively promote in market the services and banking products for citizens of Asia-Pacific Region. Also there are developing actively the providing of letters of credit with the turnover of foreign trade. Concludes that for future development of the relationship between banks of FEFD and of APR it’s necessary to solve a number of problems that seems possible and required.
