In terms of becoming a Russian innovative economy increasing importance of small innovative enterprises, and it becomes a key factor for radical changes. International experience demonstrates the need for state support of the economy. Allocated problem is even more updated with the introduction in relation to Russian economic sanctions and complication of the geopolitical situation. The article investigates the structure of the system of state support of small business, analysis of the main mechanisms for its implementation, as well as the development of the principles of state support in the sphere of innovative entrepreneurship. Allocated target-oriented, organizational-legal and functional-resource mechanisms. Authors was focused on the analysis of functional-resource mechanism of state support of small innovative enterprises in Russia and prospects of its development.
