The article discusses the impact of the development of small and medium enterprises in the agricultural sector to increase the level of food supply and the quality of life of the rural population. To identify these patterns used the method of correlation-regressionnogo analysis, the results show the importance of these processes. The parameters of the constructed models suggest that the most significant factors that affect gross products of agriculture and by the amount of disposable income of rural residents of the Republic of Tatarstan are the number of small and medium enterprises and the area occupied by them land. It is argued that with the increase of these factors is provided increase income of rural residents, rural employment, strengthening of young people and preservation thereby rural way of life in the Republic.
