The article proves that the increasing growth consumption of organic products in the developed countries, and also considering the limited land resources suitable for conducting organic land use in these countries, one can assume that in the following years, developing countries will be able to take a leading place in the world the production and export of organic food. The Russian Federation with its huge potential in increasing the supply of land available for organic farming, availability of labor resources in rural areas may find its niche on the world market of organic food and, thus, give a new impulse to the development of agriculture in the country. The formation of the organic sector land use should be considered in several interrelated stages, which will ensure the effective operation of organic agricultural production in the future. The author considers the process of formation of organic agriculture can be divided into seven stages. Proposed stages are implemented on the level of agricultural enterprises that have decided to operate on the principles of organic agriculture and the greening of agricultural production.
