The aim of the work is to allocate the actual directions of development of small business, with due regard to ecological, economic and social balance of the Sverdlovsk region. The subject of research is the modern and relevant to a specific region directions for development of small business. Methodological Toolkit is based on application of methods of comparative and causal chain analysis. Identify relevant for the development of small business trends within the context of the problems of ensuring ecological, economic and social stability. Climatic and resource features of the Ural region naturally determine the characteristics and profile orientation of one of the topical for the region directions of development of small entrepreneurship - development of technologies of processing of man-caused mineral deposits. Relevance of the work lies in the fact that formed the need to integrate the objectives of environmental sustainability with the interests of the economic development of the regions
