The article searches the tendencies of economic assimilation and development of northern territories at the example of gold-mining industry the State of Alaska (USA). It contains the analysis of gold-mining during the period 1970-80s, points out the main reasons of its reducing and decreasing its role in the economy of the region. The period of 90-s became the time of the industry stirring up due to discovering of some large gold-bearing fields of ore type in different regions of Alaska - Fort-Nocks, Pogo, Donlin-Crick and Pebble. Donlin-Crick and Pebble which are richest and the most prosperous (not only in the framework of the region but also in the world scales). Greatest world companies Barric Gold, Kinross Gold, Rio Tinto and Anglo American Plc, which are the world biggest gold miners, joined to the assimilation of these regions. Despite some organizational difficulties and questions connected with the demands of ecological security both projects are ready to be put into commission with full power in coming two-three years. This automatically will lead Alaska to the raw of biggest gold miners in the USA and become important factor of social and economic development of the region and providing its stable future prospects.
