The necessity of allocating social infrastructure in rural areas as an independent object of study. The analysis of the major theoretical approaches to rural development and infrastructure. The basic factors influencing the development of social infrastructure in rural areas and some of its elements. The main ones include: agricultural policy, the economy, finance, financial, and social institutions, the natural conditions, the system of settlement, land use and other state. The character of the influence of factors on the development of social infrastructure in rural areas. The relationship of these factors with the social development of rural areas, sustainable rural development, agricultural development, food security. The characteristic factors of social infrastructure in rural areas on the level and sphere of influence. Proved by the interdisciplinary nature of the vast number of legitimate factors. The necessity of taking into account the complex impact of proposed factors on the social infrastructure of the village.
