Peculiarities of the institutional regulation of social - labor relations in the sphere of physical culture and sport in contemporary Russia. It is shown that the efficiency of the Russian sport largely depends both on the formal and conventional institutions. The process of preparation for the Olympic and Paralympic games 2014 has caused significant changes in the formal Institute of labor relations athletes and coaches in the Russian Federation. Identified institutional constraints on the formation of positive attitudes towards physical culture and sports. Analyzed the main contradiction of Federal legal acts regulating relations in the sphere of physical culture and sports and legal acts of the Ministry of health does not consider the development of sport as a factor in improving public health. Identified problems of socio-labour relations entered into by professional athletes and coaches, as well as the difficulty of building an efective system of payment of their professional work.
