FACTORS AND DYNAMICS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC KALUGA REGION DEVELOPMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION IN THE 2000S

The article described the factors of economic stability in the Kaluga region, Russia. It is noted that in the region of the atmosphere encourages entrepreneurial activity carried out is clear and distinct investment and industrial policy focuses on the rational use of scientific and innovative potential of the area. An effective policy of the Kaluga region government in attracting investment, large-scale modernization of the regional economy, increased productivity, the use of advanced production technology are the components of a successful socio-economic development of the Kaluga region in recent years. Analysis of the official data allowed to characterize the position of the Kaluga region among other regions of Russia. Accumulated in previous years to strengthen the potential allows the regional economy, the social sphere to develop and enhance the position of the Kaluga region among the regions of the Central Federal District and in the whole of Russia. It was revealed that the region is developing successfully, including through ongoing regional development cluster policy: automotive, pharmaceutical and others.
