GEOECONOMIC POSITION OF RUSSIA IN THE WORLD: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS

The characteristic of geo-economic position of Russia in the world. System disclosed macroeconomic indicators, which allow to determine the level of economic security of the state, and also assess the macroeconomic results and analyze the preconditions of their receipt. Hypothesis that the development of Russia the world’s geo-economic space is impossible without its transition to a modern model of competitiveness, based on scientific and technical potential of contributing to the creation of competitive potential needed for sustainable development. On the basis of the given article statistical data revealed that government policy should be aimed at attraction of national and foreign direct investments in the modernization of the economy, primarily in the infrastructure industries of industry and innovation sphere. And this, in turn, will strengthen the geopolitical position of Russia and preservation of its territorial integrity and the successful implementation of international projects.
