THE PROSPECTS FOR OIL AND GAS SECTOR OF YAMAL-NENETS AUTONOMOUS DISTRICT IN THE CONTEXT OF NEW TRENDS IN THE GLOBAL ENERGY

The aim of the work is to determine the main directions of oil and gas development in Yamal-Nenets autonomous district as the largest gas producing region of Russia and the world. The analysis of new structural changes in the global gas market and forecasts of global oil and gas sector show the prospects of this sector in the region. Prospects of development of oil and gas complex of the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district called optimistic not only from the standpoint of long-term scenarios for the world of energy, but also in terms of opportunities to influence change in the structure of the national and regional economy towards a significant growth of high-tech knowledge-intensive production. Innovative development of oil and gas complex is able to stimulate effective innovation processes in other industries. Innovation potential of oil and gas industry is a strategic factor for a new quality of economic growth of the Russian economy.
