RUSSIAS POSITION IN GLOBAL RANKINGS OF ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The article is devoted to the problem of determining the level of environmental and economic development of the country through the examination reflecting its indexes and indicators. To determine Russia’s place in the rankings cluster analysis was used. As a result of the construction of the cluster system for ten years, it wasdetermined the place of Russia, as well as analysis of all the structural changes that occurred during the study period. Thus, the position of the country in the global ecological system has been defined not only in terms of international research organizations, but also with a set of core indicators of ecological and economic development. The practical value of the paper is determined by the ability to use research proposals by regional and national authorities in the development of measures for environmental and economic development of the territory.
