The article considers existing idea concerning such categories of economic science as core and non-core assets. The article includes classification of existing points of view of authors on the non-core assets under following approaches: classical, worldly and strategic. In the article the idea is carried out about the necessity of using the strategic vision of business as condition for construction the company business profile. Arguments are adduced about inexpediency of use only one kind of economic activity as defining for identification of the company business profile. The main idea of the article is a company profile is a complex category under several conditions such as synergistic result which arising between elements which are included into the company business profile. The article also describes the representations concerning definition of core and non-core assets of the company which are depending on their belonging to the company business profile.
