Важнейшими чертами современности являются рост взаимозависимости экономик различных стран, развитие интеграционных процессов на макро-, мезо- и микроуровнях, интенсивный переход цивилизованных стран от замкнутых национальных хозяйств к экономике открытого типа, обращенной к внешнему миру. Все это обусловлено закономерностями экономического развития мирового хозяйства в целом и, в особенности, на современном этапе. Интернационализация хозяйственной жизни – долговременный процесс постепенного преодоления национально-государственной замкнутости экономики, становления мирового хозяйства и развития его на новых принципах международного сотрудничества. Она находит свое выражение в постепенной переориентации национального производства и обмена на внутреннем рынке на международно признанные стандарты и нормы, на мировые цены; в развитии международного разделения труда в направлении расширения внутриотраслевой международной специализации и кооперации. В связи с этим проведен анализ участия региона (на примере Ставропольского края) в интеграционных процессах России.
